LAST WEEK, IRISH viewers absolutely fell in love with The Tommy Tiernan Show. The premise of the show is simple: neither Tommy nor the audience know who the guest is going to be until they walk out on stage.

What ensues is a delightful, unpredictable hour of telly.

Last night, the second episode of the show aired, but did it manage to live up to the first episode? In a word, yes.

No difficult second album syndrome here

Finally, Tiernan was joined by visual effects supervisor Richie Baneham, who won an Academy Award for his work on Avatar
